1. Toyota Camry Hybrid (2019-2022): $28k-$38k. Most boring car on this list and best value. 2. Mazda CX-5 (2017-2021): $25k-$38k. Best mid-size SUV of its generation. 3. Honda CR-V (2017-2022): $26k-$38k. The practical choice. 4. Subaru Forester (2018-2022): $28k-$38k. Best all-weather capability without a proper 4WD.

The one to avoid: Any used EV under $40k. The market is a minefield. If you want an EV, buy new with a full warranty.
